The Mission
Hearts of Service Counseling is dedicated to your mental health journey of healing, discovery, and meaning. By utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate healing, the aim is to establish a plan to address your wellness. Staff
Rebecca Laracuente, MSW, LISW-S, LICDC is a graduate of Cleveland State University where she obtained a Bachelor's in Social Work with a minor in criminal justice and a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work becoming credentialed as a Licensed Independent Social Worker. Her interest in helping others was motivated by inner-city life experience desiring healing within the community. She later sought to further her education to obtain her license as an Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. Rebecca's experience involves over 30 years in the mental health field with extensive years of service in the Department of Veterans Affairs as a social worker, counselor/clinician and public servant.
Services Offered
Providing individual, group, couples, and family counseling services. Proficient in many aspects of professional social work and knowledge of mental health conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss (bereaved love), substance abuse and chemical dependency, anger management, parenting, and crisis intervention. Certified in evidence-based practices with consultation hours in CPT, EMDR, WebSTAIR, Prolonged Exposure, cognitive behavioral therapies and techniques (CBT) as related to identifying, exposing, restructuring and changing problematic thoughts, feelings and behaviors while developing understanding processes. Critical practice with marriage/couples therapy and walk and talk therapies (PAIRS certified and many Gottman trainings), as well as Motivational Interviewing. Licensed in faith-based ministry as well.
